1. Season the chicken meat with salt and pepper.

2. Thinly chop the onion and garlic.

3. Heat a large pan or frying pan, add a dash of oil and brown the chicken on both sides, starting with the skin facing down. Set aside.

4. In the same frying pan, brown the onion and garlic with a dash of oil. When it starts to brown, add sugar and beer. Let it reduce by half and flip the chicken over, skin side up.

5. Cook over very low heat for about 10 minutes, to cook the meat while the sauce thickens.
